We are thrilled to share more details for our upcoming Kauffman Fellows Summit, taking place in beautiful Mexico City from March 27-30, 2022. Summits brings together Fellows and Mentors from around the world to learn from peers, build and share ideas, and leverage the experiences and connections of the Kauffman Fellows members network.

Join us for a four-day curated experience where we'll explore innovation in LatAm (venture-backed companies raised nearly $15B in 2021 more than the previous 6 years combined) and create cross-class connections all while exploring Mexico's art, culture, culinary delights and everything in between.

BOOKING YOUR TRAVEL
The Kauffman Fellows Summit starts on Sunday, March 27th at 11:30am with lunch followed by class debriefs. We suggest you arrive in the morning or the evening prior. We'll close things out on Wednesday, March 30th with a final farewell party.
OUR VENUE: FOUR SEASONS MEXICO CITY
The Four Seasons will be our hub for the KF Summit. We'll host our programming here and will provide transportation service to and from the hotel to all of our special events and experiences. Please check out our recommended options below. .

Four Seasons: ($280-$350) Our discounted room block of 170 rooms is SOLD OUT! Please add your name to the Four Seasons waitlist in Stacker and we'll notify you if a room becomes available. We highly anticipate cancellations.

Marquis Reforma: ($190-$220) Across the street from the Four Seasons. Use this link to take advantage of the KF rate.

POST-SUMMIT TRIP OPTIONS
Interested in extending your trip and spending a bit more time with Fellows beyond the Summit? Local Fellows have planned some fun-filled local excursions post-Summit starting from Thursday, March 31 - Saturday April 2 / Sunday, April 3. Journey to Cancun, San Miguel de Allende, and Chable with other Fellows to deepen bonds and make memories through these additional special experiences.

OPTION #1 - CANCUN, THE MEXICAN CARIBBEAN
Cancun, the Mexican Caribbean, is recognized throughout the world for its spectacular white sand beaches, turquoise blue water, unique natural places, Mayan culture, water activities, adventure, spectacular golf courses, sophisticated spa facilities, exclusive shopping centers, typical handicraft markets, incomparable nightlife, and more. Join Fellows for some post-module fun in the sun, excursions to the pyramids, dinners and more.

It's recommended you fly in and out of CUN which is approximately 2.13 hours from CDMX and offers many non-stop flights for your return travel.

OPTION #2 - SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE
In 2021, Travel & Leisure named San Miguel de Allende as the World's Best City. The city offers a "great atmosphere, excellent restaurants, culture and ambiance galore" which are a few factors as to why it is increasing in popularity. Join Fellows for a journey to this colonial destination including, historical excursions, dinners and more.

San Miguel de Allende is a 4 hr drive from CDMX. Alternatively, you may take a 50 minute flight into (and out of!) BJX which is approximately 1.5 hours from San Miguel de Allende.

OPTION #3 - CHABLE YUCATAN MERIDA
Located in southern Mexico, Yucatan is a state with unmatched natural wealth, the unique mysticism of its caves and cenotes is a direct connection to the soul, its flora and fauna are unmatched, that is why it is a privilege to visit this wonderful place in Mexico. Join Fellows for a journey to this nature-forward destination to relax together at the beautiful Chable hotel after the Summit.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES
We are currently monitoring COVID-19 and Omicron carefully and remain cautiously optimistic about coming together in two months. We are prepared to host the Summit with the health, safety, and well-being of Fellows, speakers, staff, and the local community in mind. With a few events hosted during the pandemic under our belt, we are currently planning the following safety protocols:

ALL FELLOWS, SPEAKERS, & GUESTS MUST:

  • Be fully vaccinated, we'll require proof of vaccination in Stacker (our registration platform)
  • Test 24 hours prior to joining us, we'll require all guests share a negative COVID-19 PCR or Rapid Antigen test
  • Participate in daily rapid testing on arrival and each morning of the Summit
  • Wear a N95 in our indoor event spaces and within our provided transportation (we will have some on hand!)

KF IS WORKING TO ENSURE OUR SPACES ARE AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE BY:

  • Providing and monitoring daily rapid testing
  • Providing N95 masks
  • Bringing back our colored wristbands for covid comfort
  • Adding HEPA approved air filters to all of our indoor spaces
  • Encouraging Fellows to wear masks in all indoor spaces in Mexico City outside of our events

WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE STAY AT HOME IF:

  • You have been diagnosed with COVID within seven (7) days of the Summit and have not received two negative antigen test results
  • You have been in close contact of an individual with COVID within five (5) days of the module
  • Within three (3) days of the module, you have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID, such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath, or any other COVID symptoms

SHOULD YOU TEST POSITIVE AT THE SUMMIT:

  • KF will connect you with hotel concerige to support with booking additional travel arrangements including extending your reservation at Four Seasons or another property, supporting meal delivery, and securing additional testing

Can I bring my family and/or spouse? What events may they attend?

Yes! We love welcoming members of your family to the Summit. Family members are invited to our evening social events including our Sunday night opening party, Monday reception, Tuesday network event, and closing event. Additionally, family members may participate in our Wednesday excursions.

CHILDCARE

What types of family or childcare services are available?

The Four Seasons, our partner hotel for Summit, has childcare available for guests staying onsite. If you're interested in booking the Four Season's childcare services, email concierge.mexicodf@fourseasons.com. Additionally, the Marquis Reforma also provides childcare services and may be reached at divctos@marquisreforma.com.

PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION

Do I need a passport to visit Mexico? Does my child need a passport to visit Mexico?

Yes, you need a passport to go to Mexico, and your passport must also be valid for the entirety of your trip. If you're traveling with children under the age of 16, they are also required to have a passport if arriving by air.

I don't have a passport or my passport is expiring before I travel.

We encourage you to use a local passport and Visa expediting agency who can help you secure a rush passport.

I need an invitation letter to travel to Mexico.
